Architectural Traditions at a glance

Make a statement

To help find the exact architectural character you're looking for, Architectural Traditions offers fourteen distinctive surfaces or textures. Whether you choose Antique Distress for a door that looks as if it's survived 100 years, or a more refined texture, such as our European Distress, texture is just one of the elements we provide that contribute to a truly crafted feel.

Glass Options

Many of our doors feature glass in the designs. Choose from clear, clear beveled, Flemish, or, for a more obscure look, AquaTex™, Matlux, glue chip, rain, or reed. Most of these are available in dual-glazed, which cuts heat loss in half due to the insulating air space between the glass layers.

Accents

For the important finishing touch, Architectural Traditions offers door accents such as clavos (Spanish for "nails"), speakeasy doors with iron grilles, and decorative wood inlay plugs. Expert craftsmen meticulously produce all of these essential details in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Handcrafted Wood Options

Our doors are built from the finest woods available, including Incense Cedar, Knotty Pine, Knotty & Select Alder, Cherry, Mahogany, Wormy Maple, Walnut, Parota, Spanish Oak, and Mesquite.

Surround Systems

To create an exceptionally impressive entry system, Architectural Tradition doors can be surrounded by a band of glass. Available in flat-arch top and true-arch top configurations with your choice of glass, can be customized, and can include wood panels in part of the outer surround.

Strength and Security

Where security is paramount, steel is unmatched. Significantly stronger than aluminium, PVC-U and wood, steel also permits greater design freedom with the use of large expanses of glass and minimum sightlines.
